National Events

​

  • 24th to 28th April 2024 - National AGM - hosted by the Southern Region in Blenheim.  This event is looking fabulous – diary it NOW!

Northern Region

​

First Monday of the month - Noggin & natter - Good Home Pub - Normanby Road, Mt Eden, Auckland

​

  • 22nd to 24th April 2024 - Pre National AGM tour south to Blenheim - details are being finalised.  Everyone is welcome to join at any stage, or leave at any stage on our journey south to Wellington if they are not motoring to the South Island'

  • Sunday 21st April:  Depart Auckland heading for Taupo.  Make the choice – either SH5 (Napier - Taupo) or for the more adventurous, head to Taihape and take the ‘Gentle Annie’ to Hastings.  NOTE: Taupo is hosting the Supercars i.e, accommodation will be tight, you may want to continue on to Ohakune staying at the Powderhorn (or similar).

  • Monday 22nd April:  A day in Napier, wineries, art deco tours, Art Gallery and more!

  • Tuesday 23rd April:  Head south to Greytown. Accommodation options include Grey Friars, The White Swan plus others … OR: if you are on the western side of the great divide, Palmerston North.

  • Wednesday 24th April:  A morning run to Wellington to catch the afternoon ferry to Picton!  That evening, an informal dinner in Blenheim!

  • Sunday 9th June:  Winery visit:  John Hill winery and then Hunua for lunch.  More detail will be posted closer to the date.

  • Sunday 7th July:  Te Arai Links: A run to a golf course for lunch.

  • 12 - 13 October: Coromandel Weekend - watch this space of updates!

Central Region

  • 23rd to 24th June 2024 - We are planning a Hawkes Bay Homestead visit combined with our mid-winter dinner.  Watch this space and ‘Save-the-Date!'

  • 17th - 18th August 2024 (dates to be confirmed) Taranaki Adventure: Thinking has started for a Taranaki Adventure based around Te Kukumara – art, automobiles, an aviary, palms, pigeon doves and plantings in a wonderful relaxing setting. Picnickers are welcome! The date and further detail is to be confirmed, but the thinking has started. The Northern Region (and anyone else in the locality) are welcome to join us!

Southern Region

​​

  • 24th to 28th April 2024 - National AGM - hosted by the Southern Region in Blenheim.     
  • 24th April, Dinner in Blenheim for early arrivals
  • 25th April, Formal registration,, afternoon Omaka and other activities, gathering and dinner
  • 26th April Explore Blenheim area, winery lunch and dinner, or a Marlborough Sounds Cruise'
  • 27th April, Picton, Queen Charlotte Drive to Havelock, afternoon at Bayshaw Park including concourse, train rides, museum tea and tiffin. AGM followed by formal dinner at our hotel.
  • 28th April Sunday, formal farewells, a post meeting tour southwards will be organised for those interested.

  • Sunday 28th April, Post AGM Tour.  Blenheim to Nelson (via the Wairau Valley) with Sunday and Monday nights in Nelson with a layover in Reefton Tuesday night for those traveling South who have time on their hands Events will be organised in Nelson and along the way, expect low key touring mostly on sealed roads. Please contact Murray Hawkes or Keith Hunter with an indication of interest. You are most welcome to join or leave anywhere along the way.

  • 21st July to 26th July 2024, Hot Water Bottle Tour, - no firm arrangements made but this year we will avoid the Matariki long weekend and stick to the cool mid-winter format.
